I remember learning about this from a text book. My husband remember their school always showed the televised Shuttle Launch and the expression on his teachers face as he was trying to explain what had happened.
Another friend also watched it in school but only the gifted program watched it so corners of the school were quiet as everyone else went on without knowing what had happened.

Odd...I remember EXACTLY where I was, and even where I was standing when I received the news about this space disaster 25 years ago.
